A control room ready to face the future
For a customer in the food industry, we built a control room designed to stay relevant in the years to come. We bore in mind the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, for example, and ensured the control room was ready for even more automation.
A brand-new control room: here’s how it all began
The customer found out about us from seeing one of our finished projects in action. To get an idea of who we are and what we do, they came to talk to us. We introduced them to our all-round approach that takes all the stress off companies’ hands when they decide to create the ideal control room. That includes keeping an eye on the timing and budget, of course.
Planning together
The challenge was to completely revamp an outdated control room with poor lighting, too much noise and little attention to ergonomics. We always start with a clean slate and take every aspect of the situation into account, considering factors such as the organisation of the space and the integration of the required equipment into fitted wall units.
Getting to work
As soon as the plans were finalised, the company’s control room moved to a temporary portable cabin. We stripped the room and renovated everything. Our partner for this task was Veldeman from Dendermonde. They dealt with all the painting, custom interior joinery and decoration of the room.
The result: a future-proof control room
Obviously Ergo-Lab also provided everything the customer needed to work efficiently and comfortably. In a place where nothing can be allowed to go wrong, it goes without saying that people must be able to focus on their work. We are proud to say that the staff enjoy their work more and experience more satisfaction in the new control room.
